What is your Sunday worship schedule?

Currently 9:00 am; Holy Communion is celebrated on the first and third Sundays.  Festival worship times may vary; call the church office for current information.

Who may attend Communion at CTK?  

Baptized Christians who have been instructed in the Lord’s Supper and share our faith in Christ’s Presence in the Bread and Wine are welcome.

How do I schedule an appointment with a pastor? Are evening appointments available?

To schedule an appointment, contact the church office. Special arrangements can be made for those whose schedules do not allow them to come during normal office hours.

How do I become a member of CTK?

For those who have been confirmed in a Lutheran church, you can transfer membership or go through a reaffirmation of faith.  Those who have not been baptized or confirmed in a Lutheran church, must attend a New Members’ Class.

Who can attend the New Members’ Class?

We encourage all new members and anyone wanting a “refresher” about the teachings of the Lutheran Church to attend. It is required for adults who wish to join the congregation and are not transferring from a Lutheran church.

How do I transfer my membership to CTK?

If you are a member of another Lutheran congregation, request a letter of transfer from them to Christ the King or contact our church office and we will be glad to assist you.

What are the church office hours?

Normally 7:00 am to 1:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Phone: (407) 876-2771.  Hours may be subject to change during holidays.

When are children confirmed at CTK?

After they attend confirmation classes.  Classes typically run for two years and usually coincide with the child being in 7th and 8th grade.

Who may be confirmed at CTK?

A baptized child.  Parents need not be members of the congregation, but are expected to be actively supportive of their child’s faith development.

How do I schedule baptism for my child?

Members may call the church office to arrange a baptism date and time. Non-members may also schedule baptism for your child, but must meet with a pastor prior to scheduling a baptism.

How do I schedule a wedding at CTK?

Weddings are conducted for couples interested in building their marriage around a shared commitment to Jesus Christ. Members and nonmembers may schedule a meeting with a pastor to discuss wedding options.

Is there pre-wedding consultation with a pastor?

Yes. A pre-wedding consultation is arranged through the church office for the couple with the pastor who will be performing the ceremony.

Do I need to be a member for my child to attend Sunday School?

No: all children are welcome to attend Sunday School, offered at 10:30am.

Are there Christian education opportunities for adults?

CTK offers a variety of opportunities for growing in your faith. There are several opportunities for adult education.  For example Adult Bible Study on Sunday at 10:30 am and Thursday at 10:00 am, plus the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League each third Tuesday at 10am.

Do you offer child care?

No, since children are encouraged to worship with their families we do not offer child care.  A family room is available, if needed,  just off the lobby and an usher will be happy to help you. Children’s sermons are also offered during each Worship service.
